When he was a young teen, an issued press release explains, Wiesenfeld was set on his path from the first time he heard Bjork. After that moment, he brushed up on his viola, contrabass, and guitar; adding to his already developed skills on the piano. Since then, he’s worked up four albums as the leader of [Post-Foetus] and created an ambient project titled Geotic.
So how did Baths come into existence? It happened September 2009 when [Post-Foetus] was invited by L.A. electronicist Daedelus to share a bill with a handful of local Beat Music artists. Inspired by the other performers, Baths was born, fusing together electronic beats with Wiesenfeld’s classical training.
One of the album tracks, “Maximalist”, can be found below. Californians can also catch him on tour this June.
