First The Black Keys frontman is producing Jessica Lea’s 2008 release With Blasphemy So Heartfelt, then he’s hitting the road with her, and now his fingerprints are all over of her brother’s band’s new disc, Letters To The Deep.

The new album from Cadillac Sky, with David Mayfield on guitar, is set for release on June 8th (via Dualtone). It was put to tape during a five-day session at Auerbach’s Akron Analog studio.

Auerbach helped the Texas five-piece branch out from their bluegrass roots, and said the band “rose to the occasion… Letters To The Deep is as much of a living album as it is an art piece.  I’m definitely proud to have my name attached to this project.”

Cadillac Sky is currently tracing out the makings of a tour where it will share a few dates with The Everybodyfields’ Jill Andrews and play two days at both the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and Merlefest.
