As we mentioned last month, highly influential Chicago outfit Cap’n Jazz will reunite this July for two already sold-out performances in its hometown. It turns out there will be at least three other opportunities to check out the reunion from a live setting, as the band is now confirmed for an appearance at this year’s Forecastle Festival in Louisville, Kentucky as well as a July 23rd performance in the Nation’s Capital and a July 24th date in Philly.

Futhermore, Cap’n Jazz will also use the summer to reissue its 1998 anthology, Analphabetapolothology, which will be available starting June 29th via Jade Tree. will be packaged in a deluxe gatefold album jacket with plenty of bonus material not included with the original CD release, including never before seen photos, show fliers, and new liner notes by frontman Tim Kinsella. Below, stream the track “Oh, Messy Life” for an early taste of what’s to come.
