Though rumors are still circulating about that upcoming Cure studio album, one thing is for certain: new Cure is coming soon.

However, don’t expect anything fresh from Robert Smith quite yet. The new Cure we speak of will accompany the band’s landmark reissue, and 21st anniversary, of Disintegration. Written in a time of despair and industry disenchantment, Disintegration was a return to the more gloomy, goth rock Cure-style, but still became their greatest commercial success.

The (now) June 8th reissue of Disintegration will be available as a 3CD deluxe edition, or as a double gatefold vinyl. The previously unreleased “Delirious Night” will be included on both editions, as well as two other demos which did not make the original 1989 release. Containing swirling, inaudible vocals from Smith and a percussive-heavy, Eastern influenced melody, the track may have been too psychedelic for inclusion.
