In 2001, after an eight year hiatus, Concrete Blonde reunited to record two albums and subsequently “retire” in June of 2006. But it seems Concrete Blonde isn’t ready to fill their its with shuffleboard and bridge. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of critically-acclaimed and commercially successful Bloodletting, the band will be performing the album in its entirety during a nine-city tour beginning June 8th in Boston.
Titled “Joey’s 20th Birthday: The Vampires Rise” (recalling two of the albums singles) the band will be traveling down the east coast of the US, then heading west, before making appearances in California. A complete list of dates follow, with no indication whether more dates will be added in the future. Tickets to most of the stops can be purchased via Ticketmaster.
