Working with the fame behind the ultimately popular Walking with Dinosaurs and Mamma Mia! shows, Warner Bros. wants to bring its beloved Caped Crusader to arenas nationwide (via The Hollywood Reporter). Titled “Batman Live”, the show would be “neither a musical nor a Broadway-bound theatrical production but rather an elaborate arena production aimed at kids and families.”
What’s great is the talent behind it so far. Alan Burnett, who Batman fans know as the writer of the fabulous Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, will scribe the whole production, which should “feature numerous villains.”
No word, however, on if The Marketts plan on licensing its theme.
