Beat-heavy Brooklyn collective Javelin is fresh off some buzzworthy appearances at South by Southwest and Big Ears Fest, and the fun keeps rolling in. First, the band’s debut album No Mas, originally slated for release April 20th, got pushed forward and was released this past Tuesday on David Byrne’s Luaka Bop label.

Secondly, the band continues its North American tour (with some new dates), having already conquered Europe. Javelin is just about finished with the East Coast — including a fantastic show in Washington, D.C. — except for a three-date homecoming stay in the Northeast, highlighted by a CD-release party in New York. The rest of the trip includes a lot of Texas and even more California for the next month. Yeasayer accompanies Javelin for the rest of the Southern dates, and San Francisco electronic band Maus Haus joins the crew for some of the California dates. A performance at UC Riverside pairs Javelin with indie noise-rockers No Age.

Oh, and lastly, the band was just announced as one of the performers for this year’s Lollapalooza . Javelin is developing quite a reputation; to get in on the fun, get tickets either directly from the venue or from here.
