Limp Bizkit returns with “Douchebag”

A lot of people thought that Limp Bizkit was just about dead and gone by now. But last August, we told you they were cooking up a new album, their fifth in all. And the first music from Gold Cobra (which sounds like a badly titled Wu-Tang album) has now surfaced. It is the aptly titled “Douchebag” and no, we don’t have any jokes about that at all.

As of now, we’ve only been fortunate enough to receive a minute long demo of the song: However, we can still make a few early conclusions: 1.) Don’t expect Fred Durst and company to break any new ground. “Douchebag” is basically the same nu-metal from 1998 or 2003. 2.) If you’re a fan of said nu-metal, aka crunchy guitars and rhyming “Kit Kat” with “get that”, then mazel tov, and enjoy thrashing your spiky head all around. 3.) Take a big sigh of relief; Wes Borland, the band’s freaky guitarist, has indeed returned to the fold.

Gold Cobra is expected to be released sometime in June, but until then, enjoy the tentative tracklist. As always, we’ll have more details as they’re announced.
