Brooklyn’s wildly talented electro-shoegaze trio School of Seven Bells‘ new album, Disconnect from Desire, will be released on July 13th, via Vagrant. SVIIB, hereafter, will support the release with two shows June 9th and 10th at the Mercury Lounge. For those not in the know, the band consists of of Benjamin Curtis (formerly of Secret Machines) and identical Ecuadorian twins Alejandra and Claudia Deheza (formerly of On! Air! Library!).

“It comes from a darker place,” said Alejandra, in an interview with Under The Radar, “I love Alpinisms, [we do too] but I definitely think this is a way better record.  [...] It’s not that the situations in the song are necessarily what happened to me or to Claude, but they’re stories that I feel have that kind of feeling, have that kind of darkness, that kind of thing that was happening emotionally at that time.”

Tickets are now on sale for their pair of shows, and more shows will be announced soon.
