Listen, we’re all “Maybe gonna go to grad school one day.”  But what you’re going to need to do right now is rethink your life plans because Bootsy Collins, the P-Funk all-star, Casper The Funky Ghost, former Ph. D. at the Psychoticbumpschool, has founded “Funk University” (via AllHipHop).

Enrollees will access the Univserity through thefunkuniversity.com, where there is a virtual campus, complete with lecture hall, auditorium, classrooms, and online library. The comprehensive website details the students’ experience, including, “Weekly lectures on music history and funk from Prof. Bootsy, discussions on rhythm and creativity from music’s finest, exercises and lessons from F.U. Professors, student playing reviews by Prof. Bootsy and the F.U. staff…” The adjunct-faculty will include guest musicians such as John B. Williams, Three Ram Jam, and former band mate and drummer Frankie “Kash” Waddy.
