Eels announce new album, world tour

On August 24th, Mark Oliver Everett, aka Eels, will present the third and final installment of his ongoing 18th month trilogy — George Lucas, say what? — when he drops the 14-track Tomorrow Morning via personal imprint E Works Records label.

Even better, Everett has announced plans to support the release with an extensive world tour. Starting with an August 3rd warmup show in Santa Ana, California, the singer/songwriter will spend most of August, September, and October touring Australia, Europe, the United Kingdom, and North America.

While you’re waiting for both, now might be a good time to revisit the first two parts of the trilogy — 2009′s Hombre Lobo and 2010′s End Times.

Tickets for the North American portion of Eels’ upcoming tour go on sale starting Friday, June 11th via Ticketmaster.com. For complete ticket information, click here.
