As promised, we bring you Danzig‘s tour dates in support of his new album. Aren’t we reliable?

The band, fronted by its namesake Glenn Danzig, has added nine U.S. tour dates this June (via Icon vs. Icon). On the 5th Danzig will open the tour in Norfolk, Virginia before heading to Europe for a couple of festivals. On the 16th the band will be back in the South for a gig, before heading north. The tour ends with four consecutive dates in Boise, Reno, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, respectively.

According to Icon vs. Icon, Glenn plans to play songs from early albums Danzig, Lucifuge, and How the Gods Kill, along with newer material, including several from the upcoming Deth Red Sabaoth, his band’s ninth studio album and first since 2004′s Circle of Snakes. “Danzig fans have their own favorites from throughout the years, and I hope the set list we put together will satisfy everyone,” Glenn said.

If you act now, you can deflect any future disappointment in the set list by participating in the Ticketmaster internet presale that ends tomorrow (except for San Francisco, where the presale lasts until May 15th because everyone’s better there). With a ticket, you can nab a limited edition 7″ vinyl featuring two new songs: album single “On a Wicked Night” and “The Revengeful”.

Tickets go on sale for all U.S. dates except San Francisco on May 14th at 10 a.m. — San Francisco has the fortune of waiting another two days. Ticketmaster will handle ticketing for all dates except the Knitting Factory shows in Boise and Reno (go here). Does this all make sense?

Deth Red Sabaoth comes out June 22nd (pushed back from May 25th) via evilive/The End Records. We don’t have a full confirmed track list yet, but the partial one is below (Wikipedia has the rumored list). Danzig also published a book recently, called Hidden Lyrics of the Left Hand, out via Glenn’s comic book company Verotik. The book contains previously unreleased Misfits, Danzig, and Samhaim lyrics, along with illustrations by Simon Bisley, who is responsible for several of Danzig’s album covers and has worked on numerous Verotik comics.
