Kiss returns to U.S. for summer tour

By Alex Young on May 24th, 2010 in News, Tour

The last we talked Kiss, the iconic American rock band had just been given the cold shoulder by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In much better news for Kiss Army, the outfit has announced plans for an extensive summer tour.

The leg, which kicks off on July 23rd in Cheyenne, Wyoming, follows two months of heavy traveling across Europe. The U.S. leg will feature the band’s usual batch of headlining gigs and state fair appearances, the latter of which will include stops at the North Dakota, Indiana, and Minnesota state fairs. It will also be used to provide a showcase for one unsigned band; Kiss has teamed up with Guitar Center for a competition that will provide one wining band with the opportunity of opening for Kiss on its upcoming tour.

Tickets for many of the upcoming dates will go on sale starting Friday, June 4th. Head to LiveNation and Ticketmaster.com for more info.
