Our hats are off to Scott Sloan and Steve LaBate, the folks behind the forthcoming documentary, 40 Nights of Rock & Roll, which has already captured the likes of Jody Stephens (drummer for Big Star), Reverend Horton Heat, and Jonsi — all at various locations across the nation. With Westerberg, he spoke about the state of rock ‘n’ roll, digressed on baseball, and performed (in a dugout, mind you) both last year’s “Dangerous Boys” and Eventually favorite, “Time Flies Tomorrow”.
The off-the-charts documentary filmmakers continue their tour this month and next, hitting up Drive-By Truckers at Sasquatch, Of Montreal in Dallas, TX, and plenty more. Interested to see who else? Follow ‘em at their official site.
Color me impressed.
