So what are metal fans in the rest of the world supposed to do? How about go to the movies? After all, on June 24th, the metal greats will broadcast their concert at the Sonisphere Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria in a movie theater near you. One-day only screenings are currently set for 450 theaters in more than 140 markets in the U.S., as well as in Europe, Canada, and Latin America. Plus, delayed screenings are planned in Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand.
According to Billboard, showtime will be 7:30 p.m. in each respective time zone, and the film will feature each group’s full sets — 75 minutes for Metallica, 45 minutes for the other groups.
Tickets go on sale starting today Friday, May 21st in the U.S. and internationally starting Friday, May 28th at participating theater box offices and at thebigfourlive.com. Below, we have a trailer for you, just in case you need one.
