The Big Pink hearts The U.S.A.

By Philip Cosores on May 21st, 2010 in News, Tour

About a year ago, London band The Big Pink performed its first U.S. concerts to smoke-machine-gone-crazy rooms in California. Now a year later, the electro-rock duo is still scheduling dates in the U.S. Which is refreshing, because the days of non-citizens having a nice time may be more limited in the future (cough, Arizona, cough). Sad truths aside, The Big Pink’s album A Brief History of Love contains a number of infectious and richly layered cuts that seem so out of place with the present music landscape, yet work regardless of seeming ignorant of the last 10 years of music.

If you live on the East Coast or if you live, uh, at Lollapalooza, be sure to check these guys out before they record a follow-up and bury some of these jams for good. For the rest of you, check out their new video for “Tonight” below.
