The Miami-based metal-stoners, who have been opening opening for Coheed & Cambria, estimate (via Kill Your Stereo) that over $10,000 dollars worth of their belongings have been stolen.
Several custom guitars, pedal boards, and laptops are among the missing items, but more importantly, three of the five members lost their passports in the burglary. This has forced Torche to also cancel shows in Montreal and Toronto since they cannot cross the border.
Still, being stranded in the States has not stopped the band’s wheels from turning. They’ve booked a house show in Boston on May 19 and will rejoin Coheed & Cambria on two days later for a show at Philadelphia’s Electric Factory.
Furthermore, the Brooklyn Vegan reports that, in hopes of raising extra money, the band is still looking to book more house shows in Vermont, Providence, R.I., and Wilkes-Barre, Penn. UPDATE: Torche has added dates in Wilkes-Barre, Penn., Baltimore, Md.,Richmond, Va., and Harrisonburg, Va. (See below for details)
Fans who want to assist the band in recuperating some losses can make a donation to a paypal account that has been set up by the band. You can also buy some of their stuff at their remaining tour stops listed below.
