Sure, there might be some hyperbole in there. I mean, Yeasayer isn’t just a bunch of Williamsburg assholes with some blip bleep machines. But watching Mumford & Sons create such a massive, energetic, fist-pumping sound out of acoustic instruments is certainly refreshing. Seeing M&S live is like watching a lion hunt: they are acutely focused, careful with every step, and when the ball drops, they explode with fury and ravenous hunger. “Cave”, their second single off of their stellar debut Sigh No More showcases the seeds and fruits of what this band can do.
