But this time we get “Follow Us” (via Prefix), a cut that avoids the overt self-aggrandizement of “General Patton” and puts himself up on a pedestal naturally. He packs percussive lyircs in so tight that they overflow with little trills, but still bounce over the beat with ease and economy. Not P-, not G-, but ATL-Funk is what this Salaam Remi produced track promises and delivers. The hook dropped by Vonnegutt does its job, though its simplistic directive becomes more irritating than memorable. Check it out below.
