Officially ending his hibernation, Diamond will be hitting the road this summer as Islands. Sponsored by Filter Magazine, the band will be combining forces with Brooklyn new wavers Steel Phantoms and Los Angeles post punk electronic artist Active Child to take over clubs across the Eastern US. Surprisingly, the Montreal-based outfit will not be performing in Canada, but we expect this to change.
According to record label ANTI-, fans should expect to hear a mix of songs gleaned from Islands’ previous three studio releases. Hopefully Diamond, as the consummate songwriter, will also be performing some new material that has been keeping him busy the during the cold Canadian winter. The tour will commence later this month; complete tour dates below. In the meantime, checkout Michael Cera in “No You Don’t”.
