With a new week brings a new batch of performances to anticipate and re-hash, and it is, I’m sorry to say, quite bleak. Carson Daly is booked for re-runs for as far as the eye can see, and Jay Leno and Jimmy Fallon are also taking the week off, so if you’re into trips down memory lane, this is your week. If not, keep your fingers crossed for next week. There is a silver lining, however, in that some of the re-runs are pretty good (Phoenix, Snoop Dogg, etc.). One to note in particular may be Sarah McLachlan’s re-broadcast on Friday night Leno, as this may be your only chance to see her live as her Lilith dates are dropping like flies.
As far as new ones go, we still have range. From The-Dream, to Dr. Dog, to Korn, the bases are all surprisingly fairly well covered. Now the only question is: do you miss what I’m sure will be a miraculous spectacle of inconceivable aptitude by 3OH3! on Thursday night, or do you watch Tokyo Police Club? On second thought it may be better to call it in early on Thursday night…
