In this exclusive “making of” documentary, singer/guitarist Philip Dickey chronicles the back story of the band and the recording process behind Let it Sway and reveals how episodes like playing with Free Energy, saying goodbye to an old van, and teaching a dog how to drive stick led the way to the creation of the effort. You’ll also be pleasantly surprised at the origin of the album’s title.
To go along with the first hand account, the band is offering the album track “Sink / Let It Sway” as a free digital download. Stream the track and watch the video below.
And if all that weren’t enough, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin has also unveiled plans for a fall tour in support of Let it Sway. Set to launch on August 31st in St. Louis, the trek will have the band travels its way through the midwest and then Canada. They’ll then head down the east coast before wrapping things up with two dates in Ohio. Seattle’s Telekinisis will be opening all dates.
Oh yeah, and below the aforementioned mp3 stream and video and above the tour dates, you’ll find Let it Sway‘s tracklist amd to your above right, its artwork. Now, I think we’ve covered everything.
