In case their recent performance with Yim Yames on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon wasn’t enough, The Roots’ re-imagining of the Monsters of Folk track now has its own video, via 2DopeBoyz.com. And while it doesn’t have Mr. Yames in a suit, it does feature everything good and bad, and some stuff in between, about the City That Never Sleeps, New York City.

Between shots of Black Thought toting around a particularly melancholy looking Yames, the rest of the video looks like a wacky episode of Taxicab Confessions. With loud tourists, camera-crazed party girls, and contemplative gangbangers as passengers, the fluid pace of the taxi is a great accompaniment for the song itself. Make sure you watch this one to the end for something pretty powerful from a group of guys already known for bringing the depth.

How I Got Over is in stores tomorrow via Def Jam.
