Much has changed since initial plans were revealed for Toronto’s Imagine Concert back in February. The multi-day music festival was originally designed to celebrate the “harmony and artistry inspired by John Lennon” with a massive, Woodstock-esque event that was to draw some 350,000 attendees to Toronto between June 10th and 11th. Since then, the festival has received a date change — it is now set to take place from September 4-5 — and while tickets went on sale, no artists have been announced.

That was until now. Ending months of questions and speculation, Imagine Concert organizers today revealed several long awaited details — including its initial lineup.

But what’s worth noting first is the change in the festival’s admission policy. In a continuation to “take on the ‘spirit’ of Woodstock ’69,” the Imagine Concert will be offering free entry on a first come, first serve basis with the donation of two non-perishable food items for the Toronto Daily Bread Food Bank.

Tickets purchased prior to this announcement will be reimbursed. For those looking for additional accommodations, a VIP package will be available for purchase, which includes front of line access, private food and beverage area, free access to VIP parties, exclusive stage viewing, free downloads, imagine festival program, and more.

As for the lineup? While organizers have not yet disclosed the event headliners, they did reveal the supporting cast. Among those confirmed are Colby O’Donis, Chubby Checker, Ellis Hall (of Tower of Power), Rockabilly Legends, Jet Black Stare, Points North, Mick James is Dead, (I am) Isis, Ronny North, Saunders Sermons, Pat Kelly & The Core, The Brilliancy, Atlantis Blueprint, Young Bloods, Nobody Lives Forever, A Thousand Shades of Cold, Stemm, Austin White with DJ Mist, Rhino (of original Woodstock performers Iron Butterfly), and the Imagine Jam Band made up of several rock legends including Steve Lukather (Toto), Jonathan Mover (Joe Satriani, Jethro Tull, Aretha Frankiln), Drew Zingg (Steely Dan, Boz Scaggs), Scott Page (Pink Floyd, Supertramp, Toto) and other specials guests.

Stay tuned for updates as more details become available.

Correction: Imagine Concert will celebrate John Lennon, not John Legend as initially reported.
