Remember back when we said D’Angelo had emerged from his cave and was readying another album? Well, we misspoke. Fret not; there’s still an album coming out. James River, as it’s being called, isn’t complete, but it is happening and is being guided by some more than capable hands: Mark Ronson (Gnarls Barkley, Amy Winehouse.)

We misspoke because, according to an interview with Rolling Stone, D’Angelo hasn’t gotten out much and has been hard at work for some time. (According to Ronson, D’Angelo’s “been working nonstop,” so no cave-exiting has occurred in his world). While there’s no set release date, it is scheduled for a 2010 arrival.
