Ring, Glassers’ first release since her debut EP Apply, is set to be out September 25th. Despite being made on Garage Band in airplanes and shoe stores, Apply earned the attention of some seriously talented producers — Ariel Rechshaid (We Are Scientists) and Van Rivers and the Subliminal Kid (Fever Ray, Blonde Redhead). With the assistance of the trio, Mesirow re-imagined her earlier musical arrangements, incorporating organic instrumentation and a wide array of percussion to bolster her once-sparse recordings for the full-length release.
Preorders for both the CD and LP are currently being taken here. According to TPS, the first 500 fans to order the CD receive a limited edition fold-out gift box designed by Tauba Auerbach, and the first 500 preorders for the LP receive one of the numbered clear-vinyl copies. After preordering the album, the track “Home” is immediately available for download. Hear a little snippet of the track, and view the complete tracklist, below.
Ring is due out September 25th via True Panther Sounds. In support of the release, Glasser will be hitting the road for a few dates with Gayngs in late September/early October.
