The post-Lollapalooza 2010 recap

Lollapalooza

We came, we saw, and we conquered. Ok, so perhaps I’m being over dramatic, but we did cover 65 acts at this year’s Lollapalooza (+ after shows) and, well, show me someone else who did that…

Of course, all this work means a bit of sacrifice, namely in the department of paying attention to anything and everything else that happened over the last 72+ hours. (Shocker… the Mets keeping losing). I’m sure anyone else who attended Lollapalooza can same the same. So, like we do following every major music festival, we took a few minutes to put together a post-festival recap, complete with all the news and feature stories you may/probably missed. If you weren’t at Lollapalooza, think of this as a chance to catch up. After all, no one man can have all this power… or endurance to get to everything we post on a day-to-day basis. That’s a fact.

– Speaking of Mr. West, he debuted a 90-second “painting” for “Power”. He also pushed back his new album until November. Oh yeah, and he’s also supposedly working with T.I.

– Eminem and Rihanna also dropped a new music video. Two words: Megan Fox.

– Weezer shared the first new song off their forthcoming album Hurley. It’s called “Memories” and it’s exactly what you think it is.

– “Black Rain”, the first new song from Soundgarden in 13 years hit the web.

– Battles singer/guitarist Tyondai Braxton announced that he is leaving the band.

– Titus Andronicus tore up Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

– A Perfect Circle is probably reuniting.

– Meet OFF!, your newest punk super group.

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane to release show tunes album. Seriously.

– The lineup for Hardly Stictly Bluesgrass 2010 is absolutely insane.

– We dusted off Blondie’s Parallel Lines.

– We also said farewell to Isis.
