The Vancouver twee pop band will make its full-fledged comeback, however, when its third album Grey Eyes hits the market October 12th on the band’s own imprint Boompa. The album will, according to a press release, feature influences from ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s pop.
But don’t worry, Gabba fans, the Salteens haven’t forgotten about you. They will be embarking on the “Yo Gabba Gabba” tour in Canada next month (where was this damn show when I was a kid?).
The portion of the tour featuring the Salteens begins with two dates in Alberta on September eighth and ninth, followed by four gigs in Vancouver. The Salteens will span the country and finish up with two shows in Ottawa on the 19th.
Attendees on this tour will have the opportunity to purchase a new six-track EP called Kid Songs, which will include the songs from the show, “I’m So Happy” and “Be Nice to Animals”. Kids at home will be able to grab a four-track version online.
The full list of dates is below (tickets here), and the Salteens have made available a free mp3 of “If Love Is Gone Where Do We Go from Here” here.
