Much hyped musician and producer Bruno Mars was arrested early Sunday morning in Las Vegas, after security at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino allegedly found him to be in possession of narcotics, reports MTV.com. The type of narcotics has yet to be confirmed. Update: Mars was found with cocaine.

Mars, who was born Peter Gene Hernandez, appears to have since posted bail, as he tweeted early Monday morning that he was in Dallas, Texas. There’s no word on how the arrest will affect any of the musician’s upcoming plans. In two weeks, he is set to launch a world tour in support of his upcoming debut Doo-Wops & Hooligans, due for release on October 5th via Atlantic/Elektra Records.

News of Mars arrest also came on the same weekend in which a remix of his smash hit “Just The Way You Are” hit the web. The new version features verses from Lupe Fiasco, and you can stream it (via Soul Culture) below.
