Brookes passed out during the band’s September 15th set at Johnny Brenda’s in Philadelphia, PA, and was discovered to have the tumor shortly thereafter. The band confirmed the diagnosis and has chosen to cancel the remainder of its US tour dates. They will, however, continue on with a “short-term replacement” for their forthcoming UK and European legs, which launch on October 5th in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. Brookes was one of the co-founders of The Charlatans. The band released its 11th studio album, Who We Touch, earlier this month.
