We have that song, the title track “Codename: Rondo”, and it’s streaming exclusively below. The track, which has become one of the highlights of the band’s live show, takes a spiritual cue from James Murphy, but the music is more Peaches than LCD Soundsystem. Which is appropriate considering how sex-charged (dare we say homoerotic?) the lyrics are.
We won’t give too much away, but the basic outline of the song is the narrator assigns someone codenamed Rondo (ohhh, of course) to buy him a “drank” from the local Slurpee station (“I’m really thirsty”), and continues to brief Rondo on the details throughout the song. It’s bizarre, but it’s fun. Check it out or download it below.
Codename: Rondo arrives October 26th via Trashy Moped Recordings.
