If you found yourself a big fan of “Haterade”, you should try and remember that apart from that collaboration (and a few dozen more), along with being one of a million Young Money rappers, Nicki Minaj is, in fact, a solo act. Her debut, Pink Friday, hits stores November 23rd via Young Money. If you don’t believe us (and why wouldn’t you?), check out the track “Right Through Me” (via The Fader).

Like a ghetto Bonnie Taylor in knee-high boots and a green wig, Minaj brings the big pop hooks and uber synthy grooves as she confesses that her soulmate/new boy toy sees into the depths of her soul before she muses as to how he does “that shit.” Deep as always, Ms. Minaj. It’s a pretty catchy little ballad that is made all the more interesting by Minaj’s lady-thug flow. Plus, she did it all by herself.
