Ahead of their October 5th sophomore release Savages, The Gay Blades hit the club with a remix to their first single off the their album, “Try To Understand”. Washington D.C. electronic artist Dmerit and TGB combine forces in a funky disco-wave version of the tune, highlighting the howl of James Well’s pop-punk garage voice. In fact, his vocals almost supersede the remix when you take the pop-punk garage band out from under him. Nonetheless, it’s hip like a pair of bell-bottoms swishing down the boulevard on a sunny afternoon. Check out the track below.
