For more than six months, we’ve been keeping an ear open for news surrounding Travis Barker’s hip-hop heavy debut LP. And as promised, CoS is bringing you all the freshest details.

Inspired by a 1988 Ultramagnetic MC’s track, Barker has titled his solo debut Give the Drummer Some. On the LP, he brings together The Neptunes, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Drake, T.I., Lil Wayne, Rihanna, and many other big names in hip hop– whatever Travis wants, Travis gets. But don’t expect a straight beat-driven hip hop release. By bringing in Tom Morello, Corey Taylor, and ongoing side-project The Transplants, the album purposefully tries to exist outside of a specific genre.

“Jump Down” featuring The Cool Kids, is the album’s amuse bouche, a delectable track to prep your pallet for the album’s release this October. Find the track below, and eliminate those Monday blues with some grimy Chuck Inglish/Mikey Rocks rhymes.
