If you have no idea what I’m talk about, don’t worry; I had to Google it too. Basically, Elvira’s Movie Macabre is the name of a b grade horror program that originally aired in the 1980s and which is now returning to television this September. It will air on THIS! TV starting September 25th.
Anyhow, according to the show’s star, Cassandra Peterson, White teamed up with his Third Man Records signed outfit The Black Belles and recorded a new theme for it.
“Jack White did this song with this little group he put together called The Black Belles, and it’s gonna be my theme song. It’s kinda spooky and cool – you guys are gonna dig it, man. We’re gonna make a vinyl out of it. Day-Glo vinyl,” explained Peterson. Actually, I’m not really sure that qualifies as an explanation, but I digress.
You can count on us to post a recording of the theme song when it is available. Now if my other thought of the day — I hope that Jack White and Jay-Z collaboration is released soon — would come to fruition.
