Whereas The xx are living high these days, M.I.A. doesn’t have much to celebrate. Her latest album was eh, her recent NYC performance was a disaster while her LA one was non-existent, and not even truffle fries taste good these days. But you do have to give Ms. Arulpragasam credit, she doesn’t give up.

Case in point is her upcoming slate of North American tour dates, which sees M.I.A. on the road from late September until mid October. During that time, she’ll hit Canada, the US east coast, Chicago, and then the US east coast again, all before concluding her travels with an appearance at Austin City Limits and a date in Oakland. Though, as BrooklynVegan points out, it should also be noted that M.I.A. has yet to schedule that free New York City show she promised. Just saying.
