Though Pavement‘s reunion tour has been running for a good six months now and made stops in four continents, the fact of the matter is not everyone who wanted to see the band has. So good news for those in Africa, Antarctica, South America, and Idaho, or who couldn’t afford a fifty-plus dollar ticket. On September 23rd, the Stephen Malkmus-led outfit will perform on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

As an added bonus, the band has launched a “be in the band contest”, where fans are asked to submit a video of them playing a Pavement song on guitar. The winning entry will then play alongside the outfit when they take J-Fal’s stage. They’ll also have the opportunity, according to Matablog, of eating the band’s food and talking fantasy football with Malkmus. Sounds like a win around.

Submissions are now ongoing, but make sure you perform only an “approved Pavement song.” (I guess what the winner plays is what the band will play?). Find all contest details here, and the rest of the Pavement’s confirmed tour dates are listed below.
