The set captures the swaying breezes and smelly hippies during the band’s November 2nd, 1996 performance at Coral Sky Amphitheater in West Palm Beach, FL. If you’re not familiar with that breakthrough gig (shame on you), it featured, among other things, Santana percussionist Karl Perazzo and a particularly inspired performance of “Crosseyed And Painless” and “Run Like An Antelope” paired together. Someone used the word “transcendental” to describe it, so that should say something. Plus, it’s the second live release from the Phish camp this year (the other being a raucous solo set from frontman Trey Anastasio).
