When Virginia-based rap group/brothers Clipse got big with Lord Willin’, they did so with the help of Pharrell Williams, then-it boy of the rap community. Now that one-half of the duo, Pusha T, is making solo moves, he’s sticking with the same theme, hitching his ride to the behemoth that is Kanye West and signing with the Louis Vuitton Don’s G.O.O.D. Music (via MTV News).

Making the announcement after West’s surreal performance at last night’s VMAs, where he dropped a verse, Pusha T did say that he’s “definitely doing my solo project through G.O.O.D. Music.” Fret not though, Clipse fans, as he also confirmed the brothers were still recording, saying that they’re “definitely coming with a new Clipse project. We’re definitely coming with the Re-Up Game project. The family is still here, man.”

If the VMA performance wasn’t absurd enough, make sure to check out Pusha T on the most recent G.O.O.D. Friday offering. As always, stay tuned for more news and release details as they’re announced.
