The National‘s fifth album, High Violet, stands as an undeniable success, both commercially and critically. Come November 23rd, the Brooklyn outfit plans to dwell further on those memories by releasing an expanded edition of their 11-track effort. The two-disc set features eight bonus tracks including an alternate version of “Terrible Love”, unreleased tracks “You Were A Kindness” and “Wake Up You Saints”, B-sides “Walk Off” and “Sin-Eaters”, and three live recordings.

Sound intriguing? Then perhaps you’ll want to take part in our latest giveaway. We are offering one lucky reader a National prize pack which features the expanded edition of High Violet, a 7″ copy of “Terrible Love”, and a poster signed by all members of the band. To win, just go to any of the band’s upcoming tour dates (see below) and snap your best picture. The reader who shares the best photo will then receive the prize pack. If you’re feeling spry, you might even want to mention Consequence of Sound at the show. But, that’s optional, of course.

To enter, send us an email with your picture, the date and city in which it was taken, and your address. Deadline for entry is Wednesday, October 20th. US contestants only please.
