Usher is super excited for “OMG Tour”

It’s been a big year for Usher. He’s released two albums, Raymond Vs. Raymond and Versus, both of which have yielded like a million singles for radio play (actually, that list is just comprised of “Lil Freak”, “Hot Tottie”, “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love”, “OMG”, and a few others.) However, the point remains that Mr. Raymond is back to making hits, which we feared he might have forgotten how to do with Here I Stand. So to celebrate, he’s hitting the road with the creatively-titled “OMG Tour”. OMG, like the song!

Per the Pop & Hiss, the initial rumors were that the tour was also going to feature fellow R&B star Chris Brown. For whatever reason that probably doesn’t have anything to do with a particular singer’s long-standing negative public image, Usher decided to make it a solo trek. While the full tour dates are below, expect Ur-sher to hit several California hot spots, Phoenix, AZ of all places, several dates in Texas and Canada, then head on into the South, and finally come to a close on December 18th in Hartford, CT.

Tickets for the tour go on sale September 17th, with details and info available at Usher’s official site– or just use Ticketmaster.com.  As always, stay tuned for more news and updates as they’re announced. Plus, you can catch Usher’s performance at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards on September 12th. You know, if you still watch MTV for anything other than Jersey Shore.
