Here, fans of old Weezer, are the first eight dates for the band’s “Blinkerton Tour”. Actually, the Rivers Cuomo-led band are now referring to it as the “Memories Tour”, but the idea remains the same. The first night will see Weezer playing their 1994 debut, “The Blue Album”, in its entirety before a set of “greatest hits.” Then, on following night, Weezer will remember their 1996 classic, Pinkerton, before playing a “different set of greatest hits.”
So far, performances for Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, and Chicago have been announced, with dates for New York City on the way, reports Alt Press. There’s no word on how many other cities Weezer plan to play on the tour.
Ticket on-sale dates are as followed: Los Angeles (10/1), San Francisco (10/3), Boston and Chicago (10/9). Also worth buying? The forthcoming reissue of Pinkerton, which is set to arrive on November 2nd.
