Nicki Minaj might not have an album out yet, but the much talented MC is already charging $50k a verse and making appearances on Letterman. The latter occurred last night, when Minaj took to the Ed Sullivan Theater for a performance of “Check It Out”, off her forthcoming debut Pink Friday.

There’s a lot you could say about what took place. Like, for example, why did it take two and a half minutes (aka two minutes and twenty-nine seconds too long) for Minaj to upstage her hype man, the Black Eyed Peas’ Will.i.am? The dude does use the term “Motherbrother” after all. Or, who thought it was a good idea to incorporate the robot into a choreographed dance routine? Yet for all its flaws, Minaj still rips it up for a good 30 seconds (scroll to the 2:35 mark), so there’s at least some reason to check out video of the performance below.

Minaj’s Pink Friday is due for release on November 23rd via Young Money.
