I can’t figure out what’s going on with Metallica..Wonder what would happen if they worked with Bob Rock again..

Why can’t you just let people have the music they like without trashing on it. If it isn’t your cup of tea, then don’t listen to it. If you got your ass leveled at a “BRO-STEP” aka Dubstep show, then don’t be such a pansy. Left some weights or stay out of the mosh pit. But stop painting the genre with a broad stroke, just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean you are the voice for everyone that will ever hear, listen, appreciate Dubstep. I can’t really see someone listening to say, Gemini, a dubstep producer, and saying “I see no reason why anyone would like this.” Skrillex is at the head of this genre due to exposure, but their are several producers that are equally talented, and yes, some people enjoy listening to this music grandpa (i strictly mean that in mindset, not age or kin).

where are you guys getting Gangrene (The Alchemist & Oh No) for Paid Dues? I don’t see them on the Paid Dues site but I would love it if they were going to be there.

if beck, smashing pumpkins, sigur ros, and jack white are there, that would make this the best lineup ever. too good to be true. plus i’d have to miss at least one, since they’re all headlining material. if you add metallica and a hip hop act, i guess it’s possible. metallica, beck, and hip hop on the south end… sp jack white and sigur ros on the north end. though SP and Beck could go either way. But I’d love to see SP finally get to play lolla in chicago.

MTV never had a hand in this.

Don’t forget that nearly twice as many bands will be added over the next 2-3 months. I believe the lineup includes, what, 81 bands so far? They’re saying over 150 bands. Wouldn’t be surprised if Jack White was in one of those additions. Not sure why you guys wasted space on Panic. Everyone knew they were taking the year off and wouldn’t be there again after closing it out last year. Also, wouldn’t be surprised to see Drake added as well. As for the EDM, I think there’s plenty of it to go around. I mean, really, all you have is two late nights to host a handful of those kind of acts, and there’s plenty there to give all you EDM freaks your fix.

“As for the EDM, I think there’s plenty of it to go around.” That’s only because you think all EDM is the same. Major Lazer and Mimosa are the only EDM I am crazy about on this list. Flying Lotus is not really dance music and Skrillex is not that exciting. Umphrees Mcgee is the kind of late night they went with this year, and that is not the kind of fix EDM freaks are looking for.

Yeah, Lola, 2010 was obviously the weakest line-up in Roo’s history. Thanx for playing.

A couple more have been added: Volbeat and zoogma. Volbeat is currently on tour with Megadeth, so i’m sure that’s their opener.

Can you really see Volbeat playing in the 7 or 8 o’clock hour? What are the chances they go earlier and a band like Evanescence plays immediately before Megadeth? I know that’s not a perfect fit but there is probably a fair amount of crossover in their fanbases (probably more Evanescence fans liking Megadeth than the other way around).
