Here it is, ladies and gentlemen: the return of Taking Back Sunday, complete with original members! Well, original as far as their debut Tell All Your Friends is concerned. Technically, the only member who has been there from the beginning is guitarist Eddie Reyes. You know what, just look at their Wikipedia page for an explanation, because it’s kind of complicated.

Regardless, Reyes, vocalist Adam Lazzara and drummer Mark O’Connell were recently rejoined by guitarist John Nolan and bassist Shaun Cooper, who had left in ’03 to form Straylight Run. Now Straylight is on hiatus and TBS is back to the lineup they had when they broke out onto the scene in ’02.

Lazzara recently posted the bands first new material since the lineup reunion. Those of you who caught the band on their June mini-tour might recognize the song. Tentatively titled “Best Places To Be A Mom,” the track makes it seem like the guys haven’t lost a step since being separated. Fans ought to be wetting their skin-tights in anticipation for the upcoming fifth album as they get their first taste in eight years of Nolan’s vocals backing up Lazzara’s on a studio track. Until word on that record comes forward, direct your attention to the Soundcloud widget below for your auditory indulgence.
