Dave Halen. Van Hagar. VH. Call it what you will, but Van Halen have been one of the most important and recognizable rock bands of the past 35 years. Cranking out hits like “Panama”, “Hot For Teacher”, “Why Can’t This Be Love”, and “Right Now”, the California-bred quartet are known for solid drumming, virtuoso guitar playing, and egotistical yet influential frontmen. Superfan Chris Gossett knows this better than anyone, which is why he’s recently posted over 75 rare and unreleased tracks on his site dedicated to all things Van Halen.

If you’re a VH fan in any capacity, Gossett’s site is a must-see. He’s amassed an incredible library of tracks from all incarnations of the band including live concerts, covers, jam sessions, and even other projects including VH band members dubbed “The Van Halen Circle.”  Some rare finds on the site include a Dave-era cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Trampled Under Foot”, a rare moment between Eddie Van Halen and Roger Waters,  and a live Hagar-era version of the Deep Purple hit “Woman From Tokyo”, not to mention a full concert from 2008 in pristine audio quality. Pretty sweet, if you ask me.

Gossett has something for fans of every era of Van Halen on his site, so head on over for a listen. Plus, it’ll help keep you occupied while you’re waiting for that new album.
