Lykke Li announces dates for 2011 world tour

on November 15, 2010, 1:30pm

Lykke Li implored us to “Get Some” when she released the song as a single a few weeks ago, but now the Swedish songstress is backing it up. Pitchfork has revealed that the 24-year-old will play a pair of one-off shows before embarking on a world tour in March, and while it would be cool to watch her sing “Paris Blue” in the City of Lights, you should still have plenty of time to plan a summertime trip to one of the eight American cities on the itinerary.

She is scheduled to play a sold-out show at Le Poisson Rouge “art cabaret” in New York City in a couple of weeks, and March finds the singer – whose real name is Li Lykke Timotej Zachrisson – performing at Los Angeles’ El Rey Theatre before she hops a plane to begin a 26-date excursion that finds her criss-crossing the Europen continent. She’ll then come back across the Atlantic to play ten North American dates, and while the U.S. stops find Zachrisson keeping to the Northeast and Pacific Northwest, our Canadian friends do get treated to a pair of shows in Toronto and Vancouver.

Support for the dates hasn’t been announced, and some venues haven’t even announced the dates yet; however, a LiveNation search of Theatre of Living Arts date leads us to believe that you can expect to pay around $30 to see the show. Tickets for that date go on sale this Friday, November 19th, at noon EST, but on-sale days and times vary by venue. Go to their official websites or SeatGeek.com for more info.

Meanwhile, Lykke Li just dropped a new music video for “Get Some”. Check out both the dates and clip below.
