Watch: Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros go back “Home” on Kimmel

By Jeremy D. Larson on November 12th, 2010 in News, Watch

It’s been a long road for Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and their momentum is finally starting to dwindle. With their debut album Up from Below having been released in summer of 2009, the band picked up steam this summer due to their outstanding live shows at various festivals. What festivals, you ask? Like, every festival there was this summer. “Home” became the Snoopy-dance anthem of the Mag 0s and their shows ignited weed-ensconced parties in the sun throughout the warm summer months. So the question is: are you sick of it yet? Do you roll your eyes at this rag-tag team of silly hat-wearers prancing about and having fun? On Kimmel last night, as much as I tried to be objective, it’s hard to pry that stupid smile off my face whenever I see them play. Cheesy, sappy, happy, hippie — there you have it. Now stop touring and come out with a new album already!
