Before continuing under the moniker solo, Vincent Damon Furnier was lead vocal for the high school band that would eventually develop the revolutionary live imagery, seven studio albums, and the anthems “I’m Eighteen”, “School’s Out” and “Billion Dollar Babies”. Backing the future lone Cooper were Glen Buxton (lead guitar), Michael Bruce (rhythm guitar), Dennis Dunaway (bass guitar), and Neal Smith (drummer). But when the band hits the stage mid-March, they’ll be minus-one, after the passing of Buxton in 1997.
While no confirmed dates have been announced, Cooper told Rolling Stone that future performances are planned to coincide with the Hall of Fame relaunch. But don’t get the face paint and leather ready too soon; they’re currently only eying stops in Detroit, Los Angeles, New York, London, and Toronto.
