It’s been a busy week here at CoS. Between our year-end report being in full swing (so far Festival of the Year and Songs of the Year have been revealed) and the massive rush of news that seems to happen as every year comes to a close, it’s been tough to find the time to just kick back and watch some TV. But, if you did, you were greatly rewarded by a wide variety of acts. First and foremost, Jimmy Fallon followed his Bruce Springsteen glory with a Paul McCartney chaser (whoever is booking for Jimmy Fallon deserves a medal). Then Crystal Castles dazzled L.A. with “Baptism” on Jimmy Kimmel, She & Him got cozy with Coco, and Phosphorescent made his television debut. Oh, what a night. Catch up here.

This week, I hope you like Diddy and/or bands you forgot existed. Diddy’s Dirty Money project will perform twice, Good Charlotte, The Goo Goo Dolls, and Lyle Lovett are all not dead, which is good news for their loved ones, bad news for us. It isn’t all Diddy and reunions, however. Conan O’Brien rules the week once again with Edward Sharpe, Broken Bells, and the TV debut of Jenny and Johnny. Other notables: Joanna Newsom and Florence + The Machine will be paying David Letterman a visit (not together, mind you), Robert Plant is dropping by J Fallon (he’s no Springsteen or Macca, but we’ll take it), and tourmates Interpol and School of Seven Bells will each be making stops at Carson Daly.
